Daniel was first introduced to glass blowing by a friend Sam Yemeni. He saw him take a solid piece of glass, turn
it into a liquid form over a flame and stretch it out. Fascinated with the drastic physical change and creative
possibilities he knew at this moment that he wanted to become a glassblower. He received his apprenticeship from
Sam, learning traditional pipe and marble making. Looking to expand his glass knowledge Daniel sought out other
glassblowers and became acquainted with Eli Copland. Studying under Eli he received a greater knowledge of
borosilicate glass, learning advanced techniques and about the scientific aspects of glass blowing. Nearing two
years now of blowing glass, Daniel has become a true student to the art and science of lampworking. His
relentless pursuit in achieving the most technical and high quality product possible has paved the way for
establishing himself as a serious glassblower.
